Crystal Palace 0 Newcastle 2
Newcastle beat Crystal Palace as Kevin Nolan and Ryan Taylor scored their first goals for the Toon. The first away league win in eight games saw us stay in the top two of the league, in front of 3,400 toon Army fans at Selhurst Park.
Off the field we wait for another decision day to pass on Monday as Mike Ashley decides what to do. Whoever the owner is come Tuesday they must realise that the results will take a nose dive once the injuries and suspensions kick in. Enjoy the results while we can.

Shola Ameobi scored for the second time in two games to secure the three points for Chris Hughton's side. A long punt down field from Steve Harper was flicked on by Andy Carroll into the path of Shola who hit it low first time into the corner of the net.
Back in third position with seven points from three games we can look forward to Crystal Palace with some optimism, assuming we can keep everyone fit.

Saturday 15th August, 2009
Shola Ameobi stole the show with two headed goals and a converted penalty. He may have well found his level to be successful at. Starting a little nervy the Newcastle players went out to make St James' Park a fortress once more. The only change to the team from last week was Joey Barton who came in for the departing Damien Duff (Fulham have made a £4 million offer for the Irishman)
WBA 1 Newcastle 1
Saturday 8th August, 2009
The passing away of Sir Bobby Robson was not unexpected and the response from Newcastle fans and further a field was likewise. He will be sadly missed. He was a truly great football man but more importantly a lovely bloke generous with his time and kindness. The Albion pre-match coverage and their supporter’s vocal generosity towards Bob was first class on Saturday.
WBA were given to many chances dring the game to win it, thanks to timmy Kruel we got a draw. Overall it was a good day out and a good result to start with.
Dundee Utd 1 Newcastle 1

On an evening when the headline story was off the pitch with Obafemi Martins being sold to Wolfsburg providing he can agree personal terms and pass a medical. As expected the sales are starting at Newcastle as the wage bill and cash flows have to be managed now we are in the Championship.
Habib Beye may be the next to go as Hull City up their interest.
Orient 6 Newcastle 1
Saturday 25th July, 2009
The pre match advert said 'Don't Miss Out On Newcastle Hospitality' at the Matchroom Stadium, on this evidence no one will. We gave away goals for free today . An utter disgrace.
If we needed anything to point the way the season might proceed after three relatively easy wins so far, then this was the wake up call of all time. Embarrassing defending and a sense the players didn't want to be there is very worrying.

Tuesday 21st July, 2009
A drab first half ended with handbags between the players coming off at half time. Newcastle visited the Yorkshire club now managed by ex Toon legend Lee Clark with Terry McDermott as support. Lee and Terry both got a warm welcome from the travelling Toon Army on the night.
Newcastle were looking for their third win in a row wearing the lucky yellow kit, and they were not to be denied.

Saturday 11th July, 2009
A comfortable 3-0 win against Shamrock Rovers in Dublin with second half goals from Steven Taylor, Shola Ameobi and nile Ranger. Chris Hughton fielded two different teams, one either side of half time.
So no owner, no buyer, no manager however on the pitch we had a good run out to start the pre season friendlies.
Aston Villa 1 Newcastle 0
Sunday 24th May, 2009
Newcastle United's 16-year stay in the Premier League came to an end on 'Survival Sunday' when Newcastle lost to Aston Villa at Villa Park in Birmingham in the sun. Losing by one own goal to nil. To many of our players were just not good enough, again.
We went down to the championship with no fight or passion or without putting on a performance. Today we were relegated from the Premiership.
Newcastle 0 Fulham 1
Saturday 16th May, 2009
Newcastle lost to Fulham on an afternoon when we really needed to win to stay up. Today our midfield lacked the creativity to make the decisive passes to create opening for our forwards to exploit. On Monday night it was all about passion and shear willpower to overcome the Boro.
Against Fulham sadly we left behind all of that and paid the price again for a sub standard performance.
