Loan Target Missed
Manchester United defender Craig Cathcart has ended with confirmation that he's now signed for Watford. The Northern Ireland U21 international was close to joining the Magpies permanently in a deadline day transfer, only for the move to collapse - apparently on medical grounds.
Cathcart moves to Vicarage Road on loan until January, amid newspaper claims that Newcastle were unable to complete a deal due to financial constraints.
